Thomas Johnsen is a ceramic artist and designer educated at the Danish School of Design. His work ranges from functional everyday objects, such as cups, bowls, and tableware, to unique sculptural pieces. Rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition, his ceramics combine craftsmanship, simplicity, and a strong sense of materiality.
Nearly every piece is one of a kind, shaped and finished by hand in his workshop. Inspired by the coastal landscape and atmosphere of Hornbæk, Johnsen’s work reflects a balance between functionality and artistic expression. Visitors can experience and purchase his ceramics at Nordrum, his workshop gallery and store located in the heart of Hornbæk, where new collections and unique works are presented throughout the year.
